20th meeting of the Joint Authority of the Nubian Sand Aquifer

Alongside the activities of the second Cairo Water Week, H.E. Dr. Mohammed Abdel Ati, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, opened the 20th meeting of the Joint Authority of the Nubian Sand Aquifer in the presence of the members of the Board from Egypt, Sudan, Libya and Chad. This was followed by welcoming remarks by Prof. Khaled Abdel Hay, President of the National Water Research Center and a member of the Board on the Egyptian side, with the support of the members of the Board of Member States. The meeting discussed methods of joint cooperation in the study of the Nubian aquifer and supporting the capacity of member states in the field of groundwater. It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian side will take over the presidency of the Authority from the Libyan side early next year.
