Prof. Dr. Shreif Mohamady President of the National Water Research Center participated in an inspection tour conducted by H.E. the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation in Aswan Governorate, to follow up on the progress of ongoing works and projects in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ministry of Water Resources & Irrigation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

H.E. Prof. Dr. Hani Sewilam, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, arrived on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in Aswan Governorate on an inspection visit to the water resources and irrigation projects in the governorate. H.E. was welcomed by Major General Dr. Ismail Kamal, Governor of Aswan, who expressed his welcome to the Minister\u2019s visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this visit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Prof. Sewilam inspected the work being carried out in Wadi Al-Sa’aida and directed the follow-up of the work implementation according to the set schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Directed to follow up on violations in Wadi Al-Sa’ayda regarding lands irrigated by flooding in violation of the law and collecting the prescribed fines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Immediate instructions to remove encroachment in the Aswan River Sanctuary area, in coordination between the irrigation authorities, the governorate, and the security services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Directed the continuation of the work of cleaning the drain, taking samples to ensure their compliance with the established standards, and taking legal measures against any violations that cause pollution in the drain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Prof. Sewilam met with the employees of the Edfu West Irrigation Engineering Department and stressed on the need to continue working with a team spirit and serving beneficiaries. H.E. also emphasized the disbursement of the extraordinary excellence bonus to outstanding employees only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
