As part of the continued follow-up on research activities and efforts to strengthen institutional coordination, Prof. Dr. Sherif Mohamady \u2013 President of the National Water Research Center (NWRC) \u2013 held a meeting on, Sunday, June 22, 2025, with Dr. Noha Kamal \u2013 Director of the Mechanical and Electrical Research Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting was attended by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prof. Dr. Ayman El-Saady \u2013 Vice President of the NWRC for Research Planning Affairs<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prof. Dr. Khaled Fetyan \u2013 Deputy Director of the Institute<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Osama Salem \u2013 Secretary-General of the Institute<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Islam Sabry \u2013 Director of the President\u2019s Technical Office<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Heba Kamal \u2013 from the President\u2019s Technical Office<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting reviewed the Institute\u2019s research activities over the past two years, including studies under the research plan, ministerial assignments, funded projects, and consultancy services. Discussions also covered international scientific publications and researcher achievements in peer-reviewed journals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The challenges facing the Institute were analyzed, with proposed solutions to enhance cooperation with various sectors of the Ministry and with other research institutes to strengthen integration and efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting also highlighted the Institute\u2019s contributions to national mega-projects, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Bahr El-Baqar Water Treatment Project for irrigating lands in Sinai<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Testing of hydraulic and electric pumps across several governorates within the frameworks of the “Decent Life” initiative and the \u201cFuture of Egypt\u201d Authority<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the conclusion of the meeting, the NWRC President emphasized the importance of focusing on research studies, international projects, and consultancy work, while ensuring proper documentation of these studies through clearly structured reports with defined methodologies and objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
