• WRRI helps communities in identifying watershed-based problems, develop and implement locally sustainable solutions.
• Providing expert consultations, supervision, experimental, and filed investigations as well as on the training of engineers, technicians working in the field of water-related projects.
• WRRI aims to provide technical support to the scientific and modern management of water management and development, and to work with stakeholders to assess the delicate balance between water supply security and identified opportunities to improve future water resources planning guidelines.
• Developing guidelines for optimal on farm water management policies .
• Studying of water interactions in agricultural areas.
• Analysis of social and economic (aspects of on- farm water management policies).
• Conducting research on pilot schemes to investigate irrigation water use options.
• Modeling groundwater flow and contaminant transport in saturated aquifers.
