Closing of the 39th Post Graduate Course on "Environmental Hydrology for Arid and Semi Arid Regions"

On the occasion of closure of the 39th Post Graduate Course on "Environmental Hydrology for Arid and Semi Arid Regions” … the closing ceremony was held on 26 June 2019 at the Regional Training Center of the Hydraulics Research Institute (HRI). The ceremony was attended by H.E. Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of Egypt, President of the National Water Research Center (NWRC), NWRC Vice President for Research Board Affairs, in addition to H.E. Ambassador representing the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development – Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The course took place during the period from 19th May till 26th June 2019, where 20 participants from the Nile basin countries are attending the course. The course is organized annually by the Hydraulics Research Institute in cooperation with the Egyptian Committee of the International Hydrology Program, where many water-related topics are presented, such as the river Hydrology, valleys hydrology – Integrated water resources management-water ethics-design of flood protection works-water harvesting-Methods of exploration and drilling of groundwater wells-climatic changes and their impact on water resources-Geographic information systems-remote sensing and other applied subjects.
