NWRC ranking among other research Centers

The National Water Research Center (NWRC) has achieved a remarkable progress in the world research centers’ ranking according to the "Web Ranking of Research Centers", where NWRC surpassed more than 1000 centers in the overall ranking among the world research centers. This achievement comes as part of the NWRC's series of successes at the local, regional and international levels, which included joining the Board of Governors the World Water Council (WWC) under collage 2, joining the Board of Governors the Arab Water Council (AWC) and the election Prof. Hesham Mostafa, NWRC Vice President for Research Affairs, to the position of Vice President of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID) for the period 2019-2022. Since April 2018, NWRC has provided more than 2,500 places in the ranking among the world's research centers. At the local level, the center has advanced to six Egyptian research centers and has jumped on 39 regional centers in the Arab world for the same period. The website "Web Ranking of Research Centers" that published the evaluation is an initiative of CyberMetrix, a research group affiliate to the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain founded in 1939 by a former body, the Council for the Expansion of Scientific Studies and Research, which was established in 1907, it was chaired by Nobel Laureate Prof. Santiago Ramón y Cajal.
