NWRC meeting with WWC

Along the sidelines of the Cairo Water Week, the NWRC President (who is also an WWC BoG member) have met together with Mr. Loic Fauchon – WWC President. The meeting was attended by several high-level personnel; including: H.E. President of the Arab Water Council, who also serves as honorary president of WWC, and a number of NWRC Institutes’ Directors who are also members in the World Water Council. On top of the meeting agenda were the critical water issues at the international level, the impact of demographics on water security, and the impact of climate change on the limited water resources. The meeting also discussed the importance of water diplomacy in the management of transboundary water resources. In that context, Mr. Faushon announced the theme of the Ninth World Water Forum to be held in Dakar, Senegal in 2021.
