Safe Zone Project in Lake Qarun

The Director of the Central Laboratory for Environmental Monitoring, Director of the Drainage Research Institute, in addition to other staff visited the Safe Zone Project in Lake Qarun, Fayoum Governorate. The project is implemented by the General Authority for Fisheries Development in the Ministry of Agriculture to improve the water quality of part of the Bank of Al-Batis before it is discharged on Lake Qarun. The members of the team followed up on the activities carried out with the participation of the Hydraulic Research Institute to assess the efficiency of the safe zone experiment in reducing pollution in the lake.
