Under the auspices of Dr. Mohammed Abdul Ati, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, the closing ceremony of the 3rd training course under the title "Water Quality Monitoring and Evaluation: Theoretical and Practical for 2020" on Wednesday, March 11, 2020. The course was organized by the NWRC represented by DRI, and funded by the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development - Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The course, which was attended by 26 trainees from 17 African countries, is part of supporting and strengthening cooperation between Egypt and other African countries, aiming to strengthen development efforts in Africa by providing support in the areas of capacity-building, and the transfer of knowledge, skills and expertise. The aim of the course is to enable trainees to know fully the practical and theoretical aspects of surface and groundwater quality monitoring networks, the methods of field measurements, the collection of water quality samples, and how to analyze their data and compare them with water quality assessment criteria and their relationship to public health. The environment and its potential for use, where trainees are empowered to manage water resources and assist decision makers in their own countries. A documentary on the most important information and experience of the trainees was shown during the course.
