On Thursday, June 4, 2020, a joint meeting was held between the National Water Research Center and the Egyptian General Authority for Shore Protection to discuss the draft progress reports and the draft final report for the outputs of technical studies of the "Shoreline Management Plan Project for Red Sea Coastal Areas, where NWRC is represented by (Coastal Research Institute, Environment and Climate Changes Research Institute, Survey Research Institute, Water Resources Research Institute, and Hydraulics Research Institute). The Head of the Authority welcomed NWRC President and some of the project’s technical team members. During the meeting, the draft study report was discussed by NWRC, where the Head of the Authority praised the studies and the preparation of a geodatabase linked to the locations and geographical locations of all elements and outputs of the study. On the other hand, NWRC President offered to provide a training to the engineers of the Authority on the topic entitled: “Tidal data analysis and prediction”. At the end of the meeting, it was agreed on to held a final workshop of the study at the beginning of July 2020 for all representatives of the authorities concerned with the shoreline management in the Red Sea region and South Sinai in order to complete the preparation of the final report of the project.
