Within the context of the continuous acknowledgment by the President of the National Water Research Center to researchers and professionals working at the NWRC and its affiliate institutions. Dr. Reham ElKorashy (Associate Professor) and Mr. Abdelbaky Hossam Elgarhy (Research Assistant) at the Central Laboratory for Environmental Monitoring-CLEQM of the NWRC, along with others from Saudi Arabia and China, have recently published a research paper entitled "Removal of inorganic and organic phosphorus compounds from aqueous solution by ferrihydrite decoration onto graphene" at the reputable scientific journal "Environmental Monitoring and Assessment Magazine" (impact factor: 1.95 in 2018). The research reports on the phosphorus removal from wastewater mostly with special attention on inorganic phosphorus while ignoring organic phosphorus, which has potential bioavailability. The aim of the study was to provide innovation for the development of advanced treatment material for both inorganic and organic phosphorus removal in water. It is worth mentioning herein that the NWRC will publish the news on latest NWRC researchers’ publications.
