NWRC President Leads High-Level Meeting to Review Progress on NWRC’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations

As part of Prof. Dr. Sherif Mohamady’s commitment—President of the National Water Research Center (NWRC)—to closely monitor preparations for the Golden Jubilee celebration, marking 50 years since the NWRC’s establishment, he held a meeting on Thursday, May 15, 2025, with members of the High Committee for the celebration, as well as the heads of the subcommittees responsible for organizing the events.

The meeting was attended by the NWRC’s vice presidents, where the latest updates on the work of the six committees were reviewed:

Scientific Committee

Finance and Support Committee

Exhibition Committee

Strategic Planning Committee

Logistics Committee

Media and Digital Marketing Committee

The meeting featured in-depth discussions on the progress achieved by each committee individually, emphasizing the importance of inter-committee coordination to ensure a smooth and integrated organization of the upcoming events. It also included discussions on strengthening partnerships with local and international stakeholders, aiming to broaden participation and celebrate five decades of collaboration, which will support the success of all 2025 activities—especially the official celebration during Cairo Water Week in October.

Prof. Dr. Sherif Mohamady also stressed the importance of highlighting the NWRC’s visual identity in all organized activities, such as workshops and events, to reflect its rich legacy and distinguished achievements.

At the conclusion of the meeting, he extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to all attendees for their dedicated efforts and wished them continued success in fulfilling their responsibilities to ensure the success of this significant milestone.
