Professor Dr. Sherif Mohammadi, Head of the Center, held a meeting with Professor Karam Abdel Mohsen, a researcher at the University of Arizona, to enhance joint cooperation and exchange scientific and research expertise with international institutions.

In line with the National Water Research Center’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and exchanging scientific and research expertise with international institutions, Professor Sherif Mohammadi, President of the Center, held a meeting on Monday, August 3, 2026. The meeting included Professor Ayman El-Saady, Vice President for Research Planning, Professor Ahmed Hashad, Vice President for Research Staff Affairs, Professor Manal Abdel Moneim, Director of the Groundwater Research Institute, and Dr. Marwa Ali, Director of the International Projects Office.

Also present were Mr. Karam Abdel Mohsen, a researcher at the University of Arizona, and Dr. Dina Mahmoud Ali, a member of the Technical Office of the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation.

The meeting resulted in several important outcomes, most notably an agreement to submit a joint proposal within the current call for proposals issued by the US Department of State. Additionally, specialized working groups were formed to link the research activities of the Center’s institutes with their counterparts at the University of Arizona, and a portfolio of collaborative projects and activities was developed to support the expansion of research collaboration between the two sides.
