transferring the journal’s publication to the international publisher Springer Nature starting in 2026

Continuing the efforts of the Presidency of the National Water Research Center to monitor and develop the Journal of Water Sciences, the scientific journal issued by the Center, and following the step of transferring the journal’s publication to the international publisher Springer Nature starting in 2026, the journal’s performance evaluation report for 2025 has been received from the international publisher Taylor & Francis (the previous publisher).

The report indicated that the journal achieved 119,085 downloads of published research during 2025, representing an increase of 32% compared to 2024. The report also showed that the highest download rates for research papers in 2025 came from the United States, followed by India, and then Egypt.

It is worth noting that the number of research downloads from the journal has witnessed remarkable growth over the past three years, with downloads in 2025 exceeding more than double the number recorded in 2022, reflecting the journal’s increasing dissemination and growing scientific impact at the international level.
