Optimal Use of Wastewater through the Application of Green Building Concept

Description:
SRU implements this research project in the administrative building of the National Water Research Center - as a traditional building - to be converted to a green building. A gray wastewater purification system was established. The purified water, as an unconventional water resource, is reused in irrigation purposes. In addition, Hydroponic and Aquaponics systems were applied to make the best use of building's wastewater, increase vegetation and reduce the environment pollution.
