As part of the National Water Research Center’s (NWRC) ongoing efforts to highlight its scientific and research contributions over 50 years of leadership, Prof. Dr. Sherif Mohamady – President of the NWRC – held a coordination meeting today, Sunday, June 15, 2025, with Prof. Dr. Hossam Fahmy – Emeritus Professor at the NWRC. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Heshad – Vice President of the NWRC for Research Staff Affairs, and Dr. Islam Sabry – Director of the Technical Office of the NWRC’s President.
The meeting aimed to follow up on the arrangements for organizing a specialized workshop titled:
“Current Research and Applied Challenges and Development Opportunities” – which seeks to:
Review the NWRC’s performance over past decades
Shape future directions for scientific research and practical applications
Address increasing challenges facing the water resources sector, especially:
Climate change impacts
Rising water demand
This workshop is part of a series of specialized scientific events organized by the NWRC to celebrate its 50th anniversary, reaffirming its continuous role in supporting national and regional water issues.
