NWRC President Conducts Performance Evaluation Visit to Climate Change and Environmental Impact Research Institute

As part of the National Water Research Center’s (NWRC) ongoing efforts to develop its research institutes and enhance researcher efficiency, Prof. Dr. Sherif Mohamady, President of the NWRC, visited the Climate Change and Environmental Impact Research Institute on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. This visit is part of a series of regular evaluations of the performance of the NWRC’s affiliated institutes. He was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Ayman El-Saadi, Vice President for Research Planning Affairs.

They were warmly received by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Roshdy, Institute Director; Dr. Waleed El-Bably, Institute Secretary General; and Dr. Hoda Amer from the Technical Office of the NWRC’s President.

During the visit, Prof. Dr. Sherif Mohamady gave a presentation on the institute performance evaluations, showcasing data from the job satisfaction survey, and discussing the data collection and analysis methodologies. He highlighted how these indicators helped identify strengths and areas for improvement, emphasizing their direct impact on the NWRC’s future policies.

He also discussed internationally funded research projects, noting that some are currently ongoing while others are in the submission or revision stages, aiming to increase their acceptance — part of the NWRC’s strategy for achieving research excellence.

In line with digital transformation, he introduced the electronic dashboard developed to track all NWRC equipment and monitor technical conditions, as well as research station data. He stressed the importance of regular updates to maintain accuracy and ongoing development.

At the end of the visit, Prof. Dr. Sherif Mohamady emphasized the need to strengthen collaboration among distinguished research and technical staff to elevate the NWRC’s local and international standing. He also recommended drafting a research plan aligned with the NWRC’s future strategy.
