Participation of Prof. Dr. Sherif Mohamady, President of the National Water Research Center, in the meeting held by Prof. Dr. Hani Sewilam, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, with Mr. Peter Mollema, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Cairo, to discuss the status of several areas of joint cooperation and ways to enhance this collaboration in the field of water resources.

H.E. Prof. Dr. Hani Sewilam, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, welcomed Mr. Peter Mollema, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Cairo, to discuss the status of a number of areas of joint cooperation and ways to enhance this cooperation in the field of water resources.
Highlights:
– Continuing the implementation of the “Modernizing Irrigation Technologies to Improve the Livelihoods of Small Farmers in Upper Egypt” project activities according to the set schedule.
– Coordination between the Ministry, FAO, and the Dutch side to ensure the completion of all project activities within the remaining project period.
– Preparing a MoU between the Ministry and the Dutch organization “Invest International” to study the feasibility of shore protection using “environmentally friendly sand fertilization” techniques.
– Prof. Sewilam: “The importance of this study lies in the trend toward using environmentally friendly natural methods to protect Egyptian shores.”
